A set of maps of the geological content of the scale 1: 100 000 of the Northern part of the earth Wedel Jarlsberg: geological, geomorphological and thickness map of glaciers in the area.
The stratigraphic scheme of dismemberment of the middle Riphean -Vendian section of the folded base of the South-Western part of the Spitsbergen archipelago has been refined.
The studied section late Riphean -Vendian deposits of the area, which allowed to specify the composition and lithological characteristics late Riphean series Sofiebogen and Vendian series Kapp- Lyell. Stromatolites from Kapp-Lyell rocks were described for the first time, which allowed to obtain a more detailed description of these deposits.
Determined the isotopic age of zircon from metamagmatic and metasedimentary rocks of the district, which allowed to determine the age of a number of complexes that form a folded base of this part of the archipelago.
For the first time in this area of the archipelago, studies have been carried out on the reconstruction of paleogeographic conditions in the final stages of the late neopleistocene and in the Holocene; a set of paleogeographic schemes and schemes for the deglaciation of the area has been created.
